Recently, while working with one of my clients, Coffman Engineers, Hawaii, and their wellness champions, we sought to dive deeper into some of the "trends" we were noticing in the workplace, focusing in on the wellness arena specifically.
We designed a simple yet thoughtful and holistic wellness survey, which yielded over 60 responses from a team of 88 - an impressive turnout that immediately caught out attention.
The feedback we received was invaluable. It highlighted both opportunities for groth and areas worth celebrating. We meticulously reviewed the results and used them to shape our objective for the upcoming quarter.
The overarching objective we set: Creating More Time for Ourselves.
We began by addressing a straightforward yet significant issue revealed in the survey: How do I use the health and wellness benefits provided through our health insurance? It may seem simple, but many team members expressed that they didn't have the time to navigate the system effectively.
As a result, valuable preventative benefits were going unused, potentially impacting overall team health.
To tackle this, we organized an oline session with their health insurance provider. The response was tremendous-56 employess attended (roughly 63%)!This initiative not only provided clarity but also demonstrated that we were listening and ready to take action on their concerns.
The bonus? We can now leverage utilization data to see where these efforts are making a tangible difference and identify areas that may need additional support.
Human-driven wellness combined with a systematic approach fosters a culture of care. Taking the time to listen and then act shows your team that they are truly heard, seen, and valued.
We are here to help you and your team implement a step-by-step approach to enhance your organization's wellnesss. #wellness #health #wyaohawaii #fitness #energy
